PARTS MANAGEMENT APPLICATION
The MetalsBridge Parts Management Application (PMA) tracks the attributes such as physical, dimensional and chemical properties of each part and provides complete approval/audit capability to maintain data integrity. Costing information is available, in addition to the tracking and part status information maintained by the system.
OEMs (and their related materials suppliers) can place orders for material, track orders and re-order material based on forecasted consumption, inventory levels, and “on-order” quantities. The system allows OEMs to manage Steel Resale Programs including calculation of Scrap-Premium Recovery amounts in multiple currencies, if appropriate.
WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The MetalsBridge Warehouse Management System (WMS) is built to manage the storage, handling, and shipping of all forms of metal.
It provides seamless integration with SAP and other back-end EPR systems, in addition to integration with external customers via EDI.
It allows users to track and trace the inbound, outbound and storage of their material, as well as release specific material for shipment.
TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Our Transportation Management System offers clients full visibility while they manage metals logistics in a flexible and user-friendly online platform.
Clients benefit from lower transportation costs, greater efficiency, transparency, and and comprehensive logistics records for detailed audits.
TMS integrates with all major ERP systems, handles all forms of metal such as coils, sheets, bars, pipe, etc., and is capable of handling all modes of transport including truck, rail, barge, and ocean-going vessels.
The Resale module allows OEMs to manage Steel Resale / Directed-Buy Programs in a very efficient manner.
It allows users to validate metals usage by comparing OEM forecasted demand to stamper orders to metals producer shipments.
Calculations are made for material subsidies and other costs, including calculation of scrap-premium recovery amounts (in multiple currencies, if necessary).
The MetalsBridge Bridge2 Integrate module facilitates reliable communication with various ERP systems. This module is vital when connecting legacy ERP systems.
We are, therefore, able to integrate and communicate electronically with all internet-accessible back-end systems of mills, service centers as well as carriers and ports/terminals to ensure the most current information about all clients’ supply chain activities are available.
Once online, clients can contract, administer, execute and mange complex metals, processing and logistics transactions on a single cloud-based platform.
MetalsBridge online transaction platform comprises 5 system modules, which cover all aspects of any clients supply chain. Being integrated, these systems allow MetalsBridge to bundle multiple invoices from multiple suppliers, service providers and transportation companies into a single invoice to the client with integrated information that can feed directly back into clients’ ERP Systems. Both internal as well as authorized external users throughout the Supply Chain may be granted access by clients to specific and relevant portions of the supply chain.
The MetalsBridge system enables clients to manage part information (assembly, sub-assembly, part), recommend order size and timing for metals from producing mills, track material through intermediate processors, manage transportation (truck, rail, barge/ocean vessel) and warehousing functions to OEM.
